After several years of designs and negotiations, planning permission has been granted for a contemporary new dwelling on Metropolitan Open Land (MOL) in Putney Heath West London. MOL, which has the same status as greenbelt, required that ‘Very Special Circumstances (VSC)’ were demonstrated to justify the proposal. This was achieved through a high-quality design and substantial enhancements to the character and appearance of the conservation area, and adjacent locally-listed building.
